Cost-Benefit Analysis of Palm Mill Oil Effluent Becomes Bio-CNG as HSD Fuel Substitution in West Kalimantan Province

Indonesia is the largest palm oil producer in world and West Kalimantan Province second province industry with an area of 1.8 million hectares plantation land. In processing at plant, several types waste are produced. One them liquid called Palm Mill Oil Effluent (POME). POME can be used as biogas Anaerobic Biological process. Biogas that has been purified packaged high pressure tubes Bio-CNG. Methane gas levels Bio-CNG 96-98% CO² 2-3%. The limited electricity infrastructure, so it relies a lot on diesel power plants (PLTD) to generate electricity. installed capacity PLN UIW 2019 211,713 KW PLTD 125,768 or 59% total capacity. use fossil energy sources cannot sustained because Indonesia's production continues decline imports fuel continue increase. Therefore, this study aims analyze costs benefits into substitute for HSD CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) method. result shows potential meets needs fuel. addition, based cost benefit analysis carried out project obtained greater value than cost, utilization feasible run.
